Mapping of digital for development projects

Introduction

The mapping tool for digital for development (D4D) projects is the result of a joint effort between the D4D Hub Secretariat, the D4D Hub member states, development agencies and the European Union. The tool takes the form of an interactive platform that works with data aggregated and combined from various online and tacit sources. 

The purpose of the tool is to provide answers to questions such as who is doing what and where—for instance, identifying the most commonly addressed digital issues in development projects, determining which member states are active in specific countries or regions, and understanding the funding contributions of the EU and member states. The aim of this mapping activity is to foster mutual learning, enable informed decision-making for future interventions, and ultimately enhance Europe's impact in digital development projects.

Full screen mode: click the arrow bottom right corner. Exit via Esc.

You can choose bilateral/country level projects and regional projects.

Region: you can change the region (NEAR, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and Caribbean, Asia-Pacific or Global projects).

Various report views (click on the blue pane on the left side):

• Focus on projects, e.g. In which partner country D4D Hub members implement the most digital projects?
• Focus on digital topics, e.g. What are the most adressed digital topics in projects implemented by the D4D Hub members?

Filter: click on the dots in top left corner OR arrow on the right pane. Double click to exit the filter. You can filter on:

• Countries & regions
• D4D Hub category (projects where digital is the principal objective or projects where digital is minor but significant).
• D4D Hub members
• Digital domain
• List of projects
• Status (ongoing, not started, completed)
• Team Europe Initiatives or joint initiatives or projects identified as Global Gateway Flagship projects.
